CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome back to Carol's Corner. Sorry it's been so long since I published a new issue. At the moment I'm recovering from a recent eye surgery; hence the reason my eye doesn't look so great. I get it checked again this Friday and hopefully things are as they should be. So let's get this show on the road. Wanted to wear something that had a real happy feel to it and this blouse is just the thing. Love the color's, love the print, love the style. It pair's quite nicely with these white denim capri's and these awesome new sandals. I like the silver jewelry with it. This necklace and earring set is a favorite of mine when I have a higher neckline. Don't have a caption winner to announce on this one because I just posted the picture today.

I always love it when I get to wear this beautiful FitBit Band. This beautiful sterling bracelet pairs nicely with my necklace and earrings and my Amythyst cocktail ring is always a good choice when any shade of purple is in play. My newest manicure is beyond gorgeous. I have a nail tech that rocks.

These mini clasp covers look really nice with my FitBit band. This shows my manicure quite nicely.

Lastly there's one of the newest watches in my watch collection. I found a perfect company on Amazon that has really cool watches that fit a really small wrist and are very inexpensive. In fact I have two coming in the next few days.

So in this journey we sometimes have failures. But failures don't have to define us. In fact they can make us stronger, make us more determined. I've had many challenges in this past year and have tried to meet each and every one with courage and as a way to try and encourage and inspire others. But I have had some failures: the biggest being that I let my weight go in the wrong direction and this past week I arrived at a point where I have felt disgusted with myself and don't like the way that makes me feel or look. Sometimes you just have to reach that point and I have finally reached it. Does that make me a failure? No that makes me human! It's what I do now that matters! And it's what you do when you have failures that matter. I can't change the past . What's done is done. The above graphic put's it perfectly. Whatever failures you may have experienced, don't use them as an excuse to not try again, to not start over. No matter how many times you or I fail or falter, you and I can always start anew. That is just what I have decided to do. I'm tired of going in the wrong direction. I'm tired of being disgusted with myself. To that effect I have started to watch my diet more closely and to cut down on how much and what I eat when possible. I know there will be days I won't be perfect. Are any of us? It only matters that you make a start. I have already lost 4 pounds in less than a week. I intend to lose at least 10 more. It might not happen overnight , but I am headed in the right direction. And you can be too!

Are you this kind of person? Well I have messed up and I have blown it, but it does me no good to dwell on the past and it won't you either. If you like me have made mistakes and have experienced setbacks in your own personal journey, don't let those mistakes keep you from being the successful person you know you are. Learn from your mistakes, but get over them and leave them in the past. Put them behind you and move forward again. It is when we do these things that we will find success after what we perceive as failures.

Love, love, love this. If you fall three times, stand up four, if you fall seven times, stand up eight. You put in your own number. It doesn't matter how many times you fall or falter, it only matters that you stand and move forward. I have fallen and I surely have faltered, but I haven't given up. I am standing and moving forward to correct the things that led me to the place I find myself today. I am a fighter and refuse to give up. Are you a fighter? If you aren't you need to realize that you can be. You need to believe in yourself. No matter how many times you fall, get back up, dust yourself off and move forward.

I'd like to end with this. Forget how many times you think you've failed; do like the above quote says. I am! Are you? How are you going to finish? Are you going to give up or are you going to choose to finish strong? The choice is yours . Make the right one! I am moving forward, putting my mistakes behind me and am going to keep on trying till I get back to the place I want to be again. Come take that journey with me. Till next time, God Bless.

  1. Hi Carol, I love the outfit and your words of encouragement. Carol, I am in need of high protein suggestions for breakfast and lunch. Can you direct me to some easy and no nonsense ideas. I am not creative and what I am eating (wrong) is not working. Thank you!
