January 1st

I know it’s been a long time since I’ve written a new blog post. I guess it’s time to catch up. Hope everyone had a great Holiday season. This won’t be a real long one as I have to work out some kinks with the WordPress blogging platform. It might take me awhile to get things right. So let’s start with my picture. This was at the Country Music Park where we attended our New Year’s Eve Party.  This is my MOST favorite gown I have ever owned. It is me to a tee. I told people it was Glitz and Glam, and a combination of class with a touch of sexy. I really felt like a Hollywood glamour queen in it. I’m headed to DC later this month where I will be wearing it to a pre inaugural ball on the 18th.
So now let’s get down to it. How was your 2016? Are you ready for a new start and  a renewed passion to get your weight or fitness goals back where you wish them to be?

We’re at the start of a brand new year. We’ve got a clean slate. We can write a new page every day. It’s up to each of us as to what those pages are going to say. I’ve let certain things slide and I know I need to rectify that. I am golden when it comes to exercise, but my weight has gone up a little farther than I’d like. I don’t want to get quite as thin as I originally got, but I need to go back down a minimum of 10 pounds or a little more, especially by spring or summer. And I’m pretty sure my blood work coming up this month is not going to be where it should be, so I know I have work to do. How about you?  Are there things you need to do on either the diet or exercise front? Don’t be ashamed if things didn’t go as well as you would have liked in 2016. We’re all human and boy does life ever get in the way sometimes. Let’s all be there for each other and help each other to succeeed in the things we have to do.

Making mistakes definitely is the way we learn. The above graphic is a wonderful way to look at life. So what if you weren’t perfect! So what if you backslid in your weight journey or your fitness routines. If you know and realize it, you can learn from the things you did wrong and you can forge a new path, start a new chapter . It is never too late to  begin anew. What things do you want to change this year? What areas of your life do you need to work on? Maybe it’s not even diet or fitness related. You still have the power to start a new page or chapter in any area of your life that you want to work on. Ask for help if you need to. Message me on messenger if you ever need to talk about anything. I am a good listener and I am usually able to give good advice. I aspire to help people in any way I can. I realized late in life all the gifts God gifted me with, and I try and use all of them to help inspire and motivate people to be the best they can be in all areas of their life.

Boy do I ever believe this! You cannot be successful in anything if you have a negative attitude about it. Negativity breeds failure, not success. If you think you can’t do something you won’t.  It’s like a self fulfilling prophecy. But when you believe in yourself and what you believe you can do, then guess what? I’m willing to bet that you will do it. So if you have let  a negative perspective on things keep you from being successful , quash the negativity as we speak , and start having a positive outlook on things, and I bet you will start seeing and doing things very differently.
I’d like to end with this.

You can be all of the above. Let’s all vow to get the year started on the right foot. Let’s write a new page of our book everyday. Let’s make the chapter’s everything we want them to be. Let’s work together, support each other , pick each other up when one of us falters , and let’s make 2017 the best year yet. Coming up soon, as requested,  I will do a post on how I ate when I was losing all the weight I had lost. And believe,me I need this too. Till next time, God Bless!
