Welcome to a new day and a new edition of Carol's Corner. Summer is just around the corner. Are you ready? Hubby has been gone on a business trip and is scheduled to return late next Tuesday night. Since he's my photographer, I've had to enlist lots of helpers to get my pictures. This one was taken outside of one of our local diners, by one of the many servers I am friends with around town. The dress is a little black knitted number I got at a thrift store last year for only $5, and it pairs well with this little black sweater. Captioning this ensemble was Diane Panda Sabbath with,” Kicking Back In Basic Black”. I decided to pair it with mostly silver toned accessories including the gunmetal grey flats and the matching necklace and earrings.

This beautiful bracelet pairs perfectly with the silver and white FitBit Band and this ring is a perfect complement to the entire ensemble.

 

 

 

And the grey clasp cover is just the right touch with all the accessories used to complete my look.

 

 

 

 

And that brings me to my newest piece of jewelry, this very unique and gorgeous watch. I think it is just an amazing and different piece. It is probably my new favorite watch in my collection. And I got it for a song on Amazon!

So now on to the meat of this post.

 

 

What I'd like to try and discuss in this edition of Carol's Corner is the following: Have you fully embraced the “New You“or the one you are becoming daily? Do you even know or recognize the new you? So many times I hear that people are holding on to the old ways they see themselves, instead of seeing the new person they worked so hard to become. It's time you meet the 'NEW YOU“! Start seeing yourself as you really are NOW, not as you used to be. Are you still hiding your body in all the baggy and shapeless clothing that you might have worn before you began your journey? Are you still living in those ever so comfy sweat pants? Believe me, we've all been there, done that at some point in the past. Are you afraid to rid yourself of all the ill fitting clothes and start to build a wardrobe of clothes that show off the new body you worked so hard to obtain? Even if you are still in the middle of your journey you need to embrace the new you, the one that people are starting to get a glimpse of. It is time to show the world just who that new you is! It is time to let go of the past and embrace the glorious future that is yours for the taking! It is time to put yourself first, instead of last. Start pampering yourself for a change. It isn't selfish, you earned it!!! Have there been things you always wanted to try appearance wise but were just afraid to try? Now is the perfect time to try something new and exciting! Maybe it's something as little as changing your hairstyle or trying out some new makeup techniques. Or maybe you never took the time to wear makeup. Now might be the time to try doing just that. Go for it! What do you have to lose? The “New You” deserves a makeover, whatever form that takes. I love fashion and everything that entails and I'm not afraid to try new things. I hope I am an inspiration to people of every age, that no matter where you are in this journey that you can feel and look fabulous at ANY AGE! I feel better about myself now then at any other time in my life. Be adventurous, be bold, just don't stay stagnant. Own who you are at this given moment in time. Embrace it and don't look back.

Love, love, love this! Now is your time to embrace the new. This is a new and exciting time in your life. You chose to take the steps needed to change your life, now own it and move forward boldly, letting go of the past and beginning an exciting and beautiful new chapter in this thing we call life. Be proud and be confident. Every day you wake up is a day to celebrate. Start celebrating the person you've become. It's time you introduced yourself to the “New You“. And then let the world see that person you've become. You never know when you might be someone else's inspiration. That is one of the greatest joys of my life; knowing that I have been able to inspire someone, in some way, to help them achieve success in their own journey. There is nothing more fulfilling to me than that.
