Welcome to a new edition of Carol's Corner. Well, spent the early part of the day having fun with my granddaughter before we left for home. It's been a long day and it's now 3 AM and trying to get this started. Was able to get so many great pictures with awesome backgrounds while at my daughter's in Pa. I really love everything about this picture. It just came out perfect. The winner for this ensemble was Sandy Iannazzone with,'Jungle Blues.”
Went with Royal Blue and White for my jewelry and FitBit band. Love whenever I get to wear one of my custom made rings. This one is perfect for this ensemble.
Added black for the BandCuff to tie it all together.
Chose this watch from my watch collection. Recently got this on sale for only $9.99 . Think it's my new favorite.
What do you think the road to success in our journey would look like? Well looking at the above graphic, I 'm sure you would wholeheartedly agree that it definitely does not follow a straight line. For most of us there are so many twists and turns that it might make our head spin. Sometimes you just have to go with the flow and know that sooner or later you'll arrive at where you want to be.
And what if you're afraid to even start the journey? Well think on the statement below.
Think long and hard on this one. Are you happy with yourself and who you are at this present time? Is your health an issue? Are you afraid that you might not see your kids grow up? Are you tired of not having any self esteem? If you don't like any of your answers than you need to make a decision. You need to decide that you are not willing to stay in the place you are.
So you made the decision to do something. Maybe this is the first time you've embarked on this journey or maybe you're starting over because you got off the track somewhere and now you need to get back on. So what now?
It doesn't matter where you are? Just start. That's all that's important. You don't have to do everything at once. You might want to just start by becoming more active. That will change your metabolism and help you when you decide on what type of reducing plan you want to follow. I suggest you start with some kind of walking. I swear by Leslie Sansone Walk Videos. I love her and I love her workouts. And you can do then rain or shine in the privacy of your own home. Like it says above, do what you can. When it comes to workouts see if you can manage a mile and build up from there. I am so much stronger and more fit than ever. When time allows I do between 7-11 miles of Leslie walks as I like to call them. This past Mother's Day I did my first ever 5K walk with a respectable time of 42 minutes and 38 seconds. Once you get into an exercise schedule then you need to decide what kind of food program you're going to use to start shedding those unwanted pounds. You might even have to try more then one. But just start making small changes and go from there. It will probably be trial and error until you find out what works for you.
Sound advice from the above graphic. You might even want to print this out and place it out where it will remind you to not think so far ahead, but to concentrate on the here and now. It helps to break down your journey into smaller goals and reward yourself as you reach them. Of course you should reward yourself in non food ways. Get that manicure or new purse you've been eyeing. When you know you have something special to look forward to it will help motivate you to arrive at each goal along the way.
I'd like to close with this. No matter where you find yourself in this journey there is ALWAYS something you can do to either begin your journey or to restart it if you've gone astray. Whenever your today starts, decide one thing you can do to take that one step forward that you need to either start your journey or to keep it going. Believe in yourself. You can do this. How long it takes is not important. Take one day at a time and you will reach the place you desire to be. Till next time, God Bless.
