Welcome to Saturday night in Carol's Corner. Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am picture's ahead right now because of having to miss blogging someday's, so this is not my dance night ensemble. You will see that in a few days. This is another picture from my time in Pa. We were able to utilize another gorgeous outdoor backdrop. I am going to have to print a few and frame them. I used to hate myself in pictures. It is so cool now to actually love them. This blouse was a recent thrift store purchase. Love it with the shorter length skirt, the awesome necklace and earrings that is now one of my favorites and my gunmetal flats. It all really works together. The winner for this ensemble is Lori Castellino with,”Cheetah On The Prowl.”
This is probably going to be the last time for this FitBit band unless I can figure out how to fix it. It came apart by the black strip. Not sure I can super glue it right or not. When this one broke I ordered a few new FitBit accessories.
These are a smaller size cuff to wear over the clasp. You can put two together in different color combos.
This is a new band I wore recently with two of the smaller cuffs. The next picture will be the others that came with this one.
Love having new ones to “play” with. I will probably buy another combination next month.
Ok I'm going to touch on something I've talked about before and that is what you do with your appearance and how you dress, and the difference it can make in how you feel and how your are perceived by others. To me fashion and all it's many parts should be an adventure and make you feel excited to see what you can come up with every day. There is absolutely nothing wrong with taking special care of your outward appearance. In fact it shows people you take pride in yourself. God wants you to be the best you can be in EVERY way, inside AND out. You shouldn't wait till you're a certain weight before you take special care with your appearance. You should do it now. Start thinking now about what kinds of things you can do. You could start with something as simple as coming up with a new haircut or hairstyle. I know with me if I don't like how my hair looks it makes the rest of me feel not so great. Another thing you could start with is experimenting with makeup. I rarely leave the house without it. Makeup just makes you feel so much more vibrant. You would be amazed at how much people notice that. I am always getting comments about how much they like my eye makeup. I've had complete strangers stop me to tell me that. Things like this can boost your self esteem and make you work harder. If you've never worn makeup now's the time to give it a shot. Don't be afraid to try new things. Every single thing you do on the outside is going to make you feel better on the inside. Don't doubt that and don't doubt that you are worth it. Once you've tried something new with your hair or experimented with makeup it's time to move on to the clothing you wear. One mistake people make when losing weight is to keep on wearing baggy or misfitting clothes. I know you don't want to spend a lot on a new wardrobe when you haven't arrived at the weight you want to be, but along the way you need to purchase a few pieces that fit properly. When you wear way too large clothing pieces you just come across as sloppy. Also people won't notice the weight you've been losing. As you continue losing it may help you to try and do some thrift store shopping to find pieces that fit,but won't break your pocket book. Experiment with everything. Take color for instance. Those of you who have come to know me, know I am all about color. Color is my best friend. The right color can make you feel happy just seeing yourself in it. Everything you put on should bring you joy. If it doesn't you shouldn't be wearing it. Experiment with styles and find out what works best for you and makes you feel the best when you wear them. Then there is my specialty which is accessories. This is what pulls it all together and kind of creates your signature look. I am all about the total package from head to toe. Accessorizing can actually make an outfit go from ordinary to extraordinary. This is where experimenting can really be fun. I challenge you to start experimenting and see what things excite you. Start implementing small changes each day. The more you do, the more other people will notice and the more other people notice, the more motivated you will be to continue the journey. Remember, you are worth it. As you make changes to the outer you, the more the inner you will thank you. You will gain in self confidence and people will notice it. You will begin to feel an inner joy you didn't know existed. You may even be someone else's inspiration. What could be better than that? Try all of these things and see for yourself. Till next time, God Bless!
