Welcome to a new day in Carol's Corner. Hope everyone has been having a great weekend. I do love how my picture turned out today. Took them at the diner again. You would love all the little inspirational quotes on the little blackboards around the room. My daughter Stephanie picked out the winning name for this ensemble with, “Gunmetal Glam!” This is a really versital top that was a thrift store purchase and like the name says, I decided to glam it up. I started with pairing it with these charcoal grey slacks and my gunmetal flats which I love.

Then I finished glamming it up with all my sparkly jewelry pieces.

Everything sparkled except my FitBit band and BandCuff which contained both color tones in my ensemble.

Then I finished off the look with my new favorite watch. Remember ladies, have fun putting together your look for the day. Clothes and the accessories you choose should speak to you and make you happy just wearing them.

Take a look at the above road signs. What direction do you find yourself heading toward? Do you find yourself in a tug of war? Are you trying to fight off the negative thoughts and feelings that ingulf you on any given day? If you find this is you more often than not, you need to change your mindset. Gravitating toward the negative thinking path will only yield negative results. And the converse is true. Positive thinking will always yield positive results.

Because of my recent automobile accident I can totally relate to the above sentiment. Try this for the next week. Every day when you start your day think of all the things in your life that you are grateful for. You will be surprised what you can come up with. It's pretty easy for me right now. I am grateful every day that I am still here, still being able to inspire, motivate, and educate people along the many paths our journey takes us. Once you realize all the things you have to be grateful for, your mindset for that day may be vastly different than it would be otherwise.

When you start your day let that lightbulb go on in your mind and let it power you with positive thoughts and feelings that will empower you throughout the day. Just see what a difference that can make as you go about your day.

 

 

Words to live by, needs no explanation. This is one you might want to print out and place somewhere you will see it when your mind starts letting all the negative garbage seep in.
