CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to another new day in Carol's Corner. Due to things happening this weekend I am going to have shortened versions of my blog. I plan on taking a few of the many motivational pictures I have collected on my IPad and using a couple of them to fashion a shortened version of my blog. I thank you for your understanding in advance. Sunday night I should be able to come up with an actual topic to discuss. This picture was taken in my dining room. All of my house is decorated now. You will probably be seeing parts in pictures from now on. I had lots of entries in the naming of my ensemble. I really love how many people are really getting into it. I finally decided on a winner. Went with Deborah Liddle and, “Geometric Blues.” This is turning into quite a fun enterprise.

This is one of the two beautiful metal bracelets I own that house my fitness tracker underneath the bracelet. I also have a beautiful silver one. Next I have to get myself a goldtone one and maybe even a copper one.

You will note that one of my rings that I always wear is missing. As of late the arthritis is making my knuckles swell. I had to take it to the Jewelers to have it enlarged. I will be without it for a few weeks. You definitely notice something is missing when you are used to wearing it all the time.

So let's start with this little gem.

There is so much to be said for the above sentiment. So let's relate this to the weight loss and fitness journey. Whether you are just beginning or somewhere in the middle, like it says you have to accept what is. That is really the only way you can move forward. Accept where you're at and decide where you're going. That brings us to the next sentiment. And this is very important to our journey. You have to let go of what was. You can't change the past but you can always begin to change your future. In fact, all through your journey you have to let go of the past and any mistakes you make along the way. The past is always the past and nothing can change that. It is totally detrimental to your journey if you dwell on all the mistakes you made or think you have made along the way. Instead, concentrate on how to change your future. Like the last part says, “Have faith in what will be.”

And because this has to be a shortened version of my blog for the next few days let's close with this. This ties right in with having faith in what will be. When you believe in yourself miracles happen, like it says above,”Believe in yourself and you're halfway there.” And I think having that belief is crucial to your future success. Many times you are what you think. If you think you can't accomplish something, the chances are you won't. But if you believe you can you probably will. So in closing, accept where you currently are, let the past be the past and set about to change the future. Believe in yourself and the future is yours to make. Till next time, God Bless.
