CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome back to Carol's Corner. Sorry I didn't have a new post yesterday. I had one of what I call my “Crash Days.” I tried to burn the candle at both ends too many days in a row and I guess you could say I got burned. I laid down at 8pm last night and fully intended to get back up, do a little more working out and then compose a new blog. I reset my alarm so many times it wasn't funny. After the umpteenth time I just gave up and decided my body needed to sleep itself out. So that's what I did. I didn't get up till after 1pm today. I might still have been in bed longer but the bathroom called whether I wanted to get up or not. Listen to your body. If it says crash, let it. Whatever you wanted to do, it will still be there.

We're starting to have a heatwave this week, so opted for something cool and comfortable and still a little stylish. Calling this,” Casual Chic.” I inherited these awesome sandals from my sister. You can't see it in the pic, but they are a wedge and really kind of sexy in a casual way. It's the accessories that make this ensemble.

These awesome earrings that I made with the necklace and bracelet really kicks this outfit up a notch along with my sexy sandals.

And you know any outfit of mine isn't complete without my FitBit. I love any of my polka dotted ones. This Black Onyx ring hand made by a jewelry artisan is another of my favorites.

Black and White ensembles are always in vogue, whether dressy or casual.

I want all of you who read my blog, belong to my Facebook group or are members of others that I belong to, to know this is why I do what I do. I want you to know how very important this has become in my life and how very important you are to me. When I am struggling I share it with you, in hopes that in some way I can help you in your own struggles. This journey is hard and it is one you need to realize never ends. Whenever we think we have it licked, we let our guard down and low and behold,we find we are headed in the wrong direction once again. I find myself in that very place. This is the time we need to be there for each other and hold each other up. We need to encourage each other and inspire each other to keep on fighting the good fight. And believe me when I say it is a fight and probably will be every day we are blessed to live.

Commit these words to memory. They will be crucial. Things can and do go wrong. Count on it and be ready for it. It is and always will be part of the journey. Why? Because of this thing we call life, it happens whether we are ready for it or not. It is how we respond that can mean the difference between success or failure. Now here is something to think about. We can have failures along the way and most probably will, but we don't need to fail. We aren't failures because we are going through a rough patch. It is actually through these times that we can actually find out just how strong we are. My eating is not yet back in control, but it is not worse. I am continuing on my exercise regimen daily and am quite proud of my accomplishments in that area of my journey. By confiding in all of you of my struggles, I hope in some way I am inspiring you to keep on fighting yours when the going gets tough. And that is just what we must do. We have to keep fighting the fight because we are all worth it. Don't ever forget that!

I'd like to close with this. We WILL struggle. We for sure will sweat. There may be many days when we probably might cry. There could be many more when we might want to give up.

But remember: YOU CAN AND WILL OVERCOME!

WHY? Because you are meant to be the best you can be. Don't you ever forget it! Till next time, God Bless!
