CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to a new day in Carol's Corner. I hope you are having a great one. I am trying to not be upset, but somehow just lost everything I already had written, so will see if I can remember what I had already done. We took this picture by the tree out front of our house. Really like how it came out. It looks so natural with the road and the houses across the street. Calling this,”Heavenly Pistachio.” Love all the different hues in the same color line that I was able to use in the ensemble.

The jewelry set I used for this outfit even let's me tie in the silver of my second favorite sandals, these awesome silver ones.

I knew before I even started what FitBit Combo I was going to use and it works perfectly. If you don't accessorize your outfits I suggest you give it a try. When you put everything together for one cohesive look and you see yourself in that mirror it makes you feel like a million bucks. When you say you don't have the time, it really doesn't take that much when you start doing it on a regular basis. I am not ready to leave the house until I have run the full gamut:clothing, acessories, hair, makeup and perfume. I have it down to a science. I can get fully ready in under an hour. As with everything we do in life it just takes a little organization. Many things you can just get organized the night before. I especially do this on Saturday nights so I can just get up and get ready for church. We dance on Saturday night , so I like to have everything picked and layed out for Sunday morning. When you take the time to do these things for yourself it can really set the tone for your day. Remember, you are worth the time. You deserve to feel good about yourself. You deserve to look the very best you can. And while you're doing it, just have fun. Make every day be an adventure.

So how is your week going so far? Is everything going as planned? When it comes to my exercise regimen I 'm golden. Food wise I didn't do as good as I should have today. I only ate twice, but what I ate might not have kept me where I want to be at the moment. Won't know till I see what the scale says. But don't let slip ups send you into a tailspin. Don't let them send you into a downward spiral that will only leave you feeling depressed and defeated. The best thing about this journey is that every day is an opportunity for a fresh start or even in some part of the same day. You can always right the train, so to speak. Put on the brakes and get yourself back on the right track, the one that's headed in the right direction. Try to remember that this journey is one you're in for the long haul. Always remember to see the big picture.

Mistakes are going to happen all through this journey, that is just life. And life doesn't stop just because we're on it. We are not defined by our mistakes , but by how we handle them . You can let them derail you or you can let them make you stronger and more determined. Which person will you be? I think by now you know what my answer is going to be.

Till next time, God Bless.

  1. Carol,I just have to thank you for your blog, the last 2 I’ve read really made me stop and think,I am very guilty of putting everyone else before me,skipped workouts ect. I have a hard time saying no because I don’t want to hurt anyone, but they have no problem telling me no,so thanks to your words I am going to try harder to do this for me,it will take time, I know, but I have to do this, and because of you I know I can and still be a good person,so thank you!😊

    1. Thank you for letting me know that I am helping you. I myself right now am struggling with the food part and am up way more than I want to be. Exercise is what seems to be my saving grace.
