CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to the latest edition of Carol's Corner. I hope you are all enjoying what I like to call “My From The Heart Posts”. I appreciate the feedback I have received on some of them. I appreciate when you let me know what touches you because it helps me know that I am succeeding in what I am trying to do,so keep the comments coming.

My outfit today is kind of casual chic. Calling this,” Jungle Fever; On The Prowl.” As I got dressed , the blouse and FitBit Combo seemed to scream Leopard to me , so that was my inspiration for the name. I just noticed that my watch was turned around on my wrist, I have very small wrists. It's a really pretty watch as you will see below.

My FitBit pictures:

You can probably see from this band what made my mind go to a leopard.

And of course I had to go with a white BandCuff.

Today was day 2 of my “Reboot”. Not exactly sure how it's going yet. We shall see over the next few days. I've really been upping my workouts because I think my metabolism is in need of a “Reboot” as well. It's going to be trial and error for awhile.

These are my stats for Tuesday. I think this is my second highest since owning my FitBit. I am so happy my replacement arrived as quickly as it did. If I had had it all of yesterday my stats might have been my highest ever. But I know workout wise what I did,and the last two days I have a combined total of 20 miles, 19 workout miles and a one mile outdoor walk/jog. I was able to do it in 13:57. Well that was 1.02 miles. I thought I had ended my workout, but didn't hit something right, so it slowed my time a little. I also did Day 1 of an arm challenge some of us are doing, did mine with 5 pound weights. A few months ago that would have been impossible. Have you challenged yourself when it comes to your fitness program? I am doing things I never thought were possible or that I even would want to be doing in the first place. I never thought I would turn into what some people might label as an “Exercise Fanatic”. I rarely take rest days unless circumstances prevent it or I am sick, and then I am not happy about it. Even if I just don't feel like working out, I do it anyway and am always glad I did once I'm done. The same thing can happen with your workout routine that happens when you start being careless with your diet. You can say, “Oh it's just for today”, but then tomorrow comes and you use the same excuse again. And before you know it you are skipping your workouts more times than not. If you're already being careless with your diet, what do you think will happen if you start skipping your workouts ? The farther you get away from your healthy habits the easier it becomes to ignore them altogether and then guess what? You're right back where you started or even worse. Don't let yourself be a statistic. Don't wait till you're so far off the track that you're afraid to jump back on. The minute you find yourself backtracking in either your diet or your workout routine, remind yourself why you started this journey in the first place, and what you stand to lose if you abandon it. Remember, YOU ARE WORTH IT. You are the captain of your own ship, so to speak. You alone chart the course for your journey. Make sure it's the right one. Believe in yourself and then do everything you can to keep on the right track and stay the course. It is in all of us to be successful. Want it, work it, own it. Till next time, God Bless.
