Welcome to a new year here in Carol's Corner. Can't believe over a year has gone by since the birth of this blog. Boy does time ever get away from us. I hope everyone had a wonderful New Years Eve. Spent mine dancing the night away and eating too much. I'm sure I'm not the only one. But 2015 is behind us and it's time to write a new chapter and a new book. So this was my New Year's Eve finery. I love red so when I found this dress I was very happy and I got it for a song at Burlington Coat Factory. Ended up with a consensus of people who wanted this ensemble named, “Lady In Red”, so that's what I went with.

My necklace and earrings were rhinestones so I had to find a bracelet for my FitBit that had some bling. I found this from FUNktional Wearables on Amazon and this surely fits the bill.

I already had this watch which was perfect. Added my gunmetal flats and I was all set to dance the night away.

So here we are. 2015 is behind us and 2016 is just beginning. It's time to let go off the past, wipe the slate clean and start a new page in the book that is going to tell the story of each of our journey's. It is going to be up to us to decide just what that story is going to tell. To start that new page we have to let go of the past and any negativity surrounding it and concentrate on all the ways that we can make 2016 be more successful than 2015. Each of us needs to sit down and decide what the things are that we need to change or improve upon. Then we need to set short and long term goals that will help us achieve the ultimate goals we have set for ourselves. The pages in our book are blank. Let's start to fill them with all the things that will lead to an amazing and successful year ahead of us, one that will propel us to bigger and greater victories than ever before. We know that there will be many ups and downs along the way, but together and with each other's help and support we can make this our best year ever.

When you're setting goals for yourself, here's something to consider.Try using the SMART acronym when setting your goals. (S)-Make your goals specific. (M)-Make them measurable. (A)-Make sure they're attainable. (R)- Make sure they are relevant. (T)- Have them be trackable. Below you will find a link explaining SMART goals.

Just remember, any day can be a new and fresh beginning. You have the power to change the course of your journey anytime you decide you want or need to. You decide when your today is,and then unleash the power you know you possess.

I'd like to close with the above. I have faith that you will have the courage you need, to do exactly as this says. Let 2016 be that year. Till next time, God Bless.
