CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to a new day in Carol's Corner. I was happy so many people read my blog on miracles and that I got so many great responses to it. There were even visitors to it on the second day and from countries I haven't seen on it before. That's just really cool. Lori Castellino won the naming of my ensemble with, “Willows and Wildflowers.” I love this beautiful blouse I got on one of my thrift store shopping trips. The color's are so fabulous. I had a set of jewelry I made that picks up a lot of color's in the blouse. I decided not to post the hand pics from this outfit, but my wild awesome new manicure. I have four different pictures, but I think these two show it the best.

Is this just amazing or what?

Just watching her do this manicure was a trip. She is quite an artist and never ceases to amaze me. I let her do anything she wants so it's always a surprise.

Do you feel overwhelmed by the enormity of what you know this journey of weight loss and fitness will entail? Are you afraid to start because you think it's impossible? Stop that thinking right now and try to get your head in the right place. Don't think of the enormity of the journey, think of it in small incremental steps. Like the picture above states, “A little step may be the beginning of a great journey.” Every journey you have in life has a beginning, you don't just jump through to the end. You have to begin somewhere. Make your somewhere be today. Stop worrying and just begin.

I love what the above picture has to say. Stop worrying about all the negative feelings and emotions you are feeling about the journey; you have to take it inch by inch closer toward your health and fitness goals. Just start, or as in some cases just restart your journey from wherever you may be.

Don't let your “later” become your “never.” How many times in your life have you said, “Oh someday I'll do that” to find that you never did?

Almost everything in life that we accomplish came about because we took a chance, we made a choice in our mind that we were going to do something and then we set out to do it. Don't end up like the above picture shows and end up regretting that you didn't take the chance to better your life by getting healthier and fitter. Just make that choice and take that first step and you will never regret it. And if you are one who is restarting your journey, there is no shame in that, just jump right back in and get your head back in the game, wherever that may be.

Great words to live by in the journey we all find ourselves on. When you think too far ahead you tend to get overwhelmed and discouraged. You get bogged down by worrying that you might not be able to do all the things you need to later. The better way is just like the above sentiment says. Just do whatever you can to inch closer to where you really want to be in the future, because all the things you do today get you one step closer to that goal.

If you have been on this journey for awhile, at some point this is bound to be you. Believe me, I know it to be true. Don't give up, just ride it out. If you fall down in one area, try to excel in another. No matter how many times you fall, it's ok. There is no failure in this journey unless you just out and out quit. It is ok to have struggles and setbacks. It comes with the territory. Whenever you're ready just jump back in and take one step and one day at a time. You can and will succeed.

Start imagining. Imagine it every day. Let it be your fuel. And just keep on imagining and before you know it you are going to say with joy and pride in your heart, “I did it, I persevered, I finally reached that goal line and I will be greatful for the rest of my life that I had the courage to keep on going even in my darkest days!”

I'd like to close with this. It really needs no explanation. Till next time, God Bless.
