Welcome to Sunday Night in Carol's Corner. Today was the perfect summer day; warm not hot, no humidity and a gentle breeze. After using my red shoes yesterday, just had to wear my red dress. Everyone loves it. I definitely need to find some more red pieces. We took this picture at the house next door to us. Thought the red tree and the red door were the perfect backdrop. Calling this,” Color Me Red.”
Was able to use the exact same accessories I used for yesterday's outfit.
Loving this manicure, think this was the darker version of the color changing polish.
Been having trouble deciding something to talk about tonight. Don't know if you would call it writer's block or idea's block, maybe a little bit of both. Guess that happens when you do this day after day. I'm just gonna wing it and maybe touch on more than one thing, things we actually talked about this week.
So are you getting impatient with the progress with your journey? Do you resent the time it's going to take to achieve your weight loss and fitness goals? Are there days you want to call it quits? Well banish all those negative thoughts from your mind. Remember that old saying,” Rome wasn't built in a day?” Well that is more than true when it comes to weight loss. The above picture should be one of your daily mantras. You might even want to print it out and display it where you can see it every time those negative thoughts and emotions tend to overtake you.
I tell people that the journey first has to start in your head. It will go nowhere if it doesn't. Your mind has to be where it starts and your mind is what can mean the difference between success and failure. The mental challenges of the journey you're on can be much harder to control than the physical side. It can try to sabotage you every single day. You have to be stronger than those voices in your head that try to convince you that you're not strong enough to stay the course, that you don't have what it takes. Every time you have to be stronger than the voices. You have to squash them like a bug! Give yourself positive affirmations every day. You are stronger than you think. Remember that always.
Ponder the above statement. How do you act when you're impatient about something? What do you do? Do you immediately quit or do you stay on the path that you know will eventually lead to the place you're trying to get to on your journey to health and fitness? Examine the progress you've already made. Where would you be if you had never started in the first place? Realize that anything in life worth working for takes time and the commitment to finishing what you have started.
Do you have what it takes to be a champion, or will you quit when the going gets tough? Think of yourself as a champion. Believe in yourself and you won't be able to quit.Dig deep down and you'll discover a resolve and strength you didn't know existed. Eventually you will begin to live the mantra of ,”When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Till next time , God Bless.
