Welcome back to Carol's Corner, my own little spot in the blogosphere. Now today REALLY felt like summer, very hot and very humid. Can't believe we actually had back to back days. Won't complain because summer weather has been practically non existent. Another ensemble today that I really love. It is so simple but elegant and feels very feminine. Calling this,” Exquisite in Lace”. Actually lace has been in my last three outfits. I have gone the gamut of colors , from pale pastels to today's rich vibrant shade.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all my loyal readers and especially for all the comments I received on my latest blog. It really seemed to have resonated with everyone. I had what I am calling “My Last Hurrah” before I hunker down and get serious again.

As most of you probably realize by now our journey is LIFE LONG. We can think we have conquered all there is to be conquered, but it only takes a short time of not being vigilant to see that it is going to take constant persistence in both the areas of diet and exercise to keep our bodies where we want them to be. We can't ignore either aspect or one or both of them suffer. I have been extremely vigilant when it comes to my exercise routine, but had become lax when it came to diet. And guess what? Yeah my weight finally went over what I feel comfortable with. I let it go on too long and now I have to pay the price. I should not have let it go on as as long as I did. But we are all human and life happens, but the sign of a good leader is to change or reverse course when need be . I knew I had reached that point. It doesn't pay to beat yourself up either. The past is the past and there is nothing you can do to change it. You can only learn from it and move forward in the best way you can. And that doesn't mean all your days will be perfect. I know mine won't be , but it will mean I won't let the bad days go on day after day unabated. When a bad day happens you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and get on with making good things happen. I hope if you are where I am now, in a reboot so to speak, or if you are at the start of your journey that you will find someone who can be your “accountability”. It will just make you want to try harder, because you don't want to fail them or yourself. It ups the stakes you might say. I have a double responsibility, not just to myself, but to all those who count on me for inspiration ,motivatation and education. I take that responsibility very seriously and that is why I am sharing my own journey ;it's successes and failures with you my readers. So let the reboot begin! We are all in this journey together.
