Welcome to Monday night in Carol's Corner. A new week is upon us and new opportunities await us. We finally had what you could really call a summer day here in Central New York. I thought we weren't going to have any. Love this dress. It can be casual or dressy and it's ever so comfortable. Calling this, ” Fun And Flirty.”
Went with a white FitBit Band.
And then I paired it with a Royal Blue BandCuff. I had a jewelry set that was a perfect match for this dress. Finishing my accessories with my Royal Blue flats and I'm ready to go wherever things take me.
Thought I'd include a pic of me in my workout gear for the day. My daughter gave me these workout shorts and I love them. They're really comfortable and especially great on hot days like today. Had to knock the air conditioning down a degree while I worked out. Did two different workouts totalling 1 3/4 hours and 6 miles. I was definately sweating this time. I am trying to hit 200 workout miles for the month, but I'm a little bit behind in the pace. We shall see.
So what to talk about tonight? First of all got some rest and feel much better. I can't even explain how out of it I was. Actually surprised my blog came out ok. I think I want to talk about believing in yourself and not letting others affect what you do or how you approach your journey. Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. We let a little voice in our head whisper in our ear,” You can't do this, you're just gonna give up, you don't have what it takes!” Or maybe it's other voices saying this. Does this ring a bell with anyone? Luckily, I didn't listen to that voice or any other negative voices that could bring me down. Don't you either. In order to be successful in your own journey to a healthy weight and a healthy body, you must first believe that you can and will be successful. All self doubt has to cease. But that doesn't mean you won't have bad days or bad weeks. That's part of the journey. Expect it, because at some point it will happen. It's how you handle those times that can mean the difference between success and failure. But as I've said so many times before, the only way you can fail is if you flat out give up. Just because you might be going through a rough patch either in your eating or your exercise, doesn't make you a failure, it just makes you human. I myself am going through a rough patch diet wise, but I've been doubling down on my exercise. The thing you need to understand about this journey is that it is a lifelong one. Life just gets in the way at times, but you don't need to let negativity in your own mind or the negativity of others around you drown out everything else. It's in these times of negativity that you need to believe in yourself. Drown out all those other voices and remember all the reasons you began this journey in the first place. Think big picture. A bad day, bad week, or even bad month isn't the end of the world, because every hour of every day can be a fresh start. You can wipe the slate clean and start fresh. There are no expiration dates on this journey, that is unless you throw in the towel and give up. And giving up is not an option. Surround yourself with positive influences and positive people. Rid yourself of all negativity. Truly believe in yourself. You have everything you need to be successful. Believe it, work it, and you will soar to heights you didn't dream of before. Till next time, God Bless.
