Welcome back to my little section of the blogosphere known as Carol's Corner. I still love seeing that in print. If anyone had told me a year ago that I would be authoring a blog I would probably have said they were nuts. Now it is an integral and important part of my life. I hope what I do here helps you in all aspects of this journey we find ourselves part of.
My picture today was taken along the side of our house. I love this outfit and all the colors in the blouse. Every time I wear this it somehow makes me think of an Aztec theme, so naming this”Aztec Queen”. Someone in another group I belong to called it ” Spicy Hot”.
With my jewelry and FitBit I decided to pull out the yellow that was in the blouse.
Next time you see my hand pics I won't have these overgrow nails. Get them done tomorrow. They really grew a lot this time.
So something seemed to be telling me all day that I need to follow up last night's “From The Heart” post with another one. Everything I've been reading seems to say that many of you need encouragement. We go through many ups and downs on this journey. We are imperfect beings and we make mistakes from time to time. For instance, I myself got off the rail so to speak in the last three weeks. The secret is to make up your mind to do the things you need to do, to get things back on track and going in the right direction, that is down not up. Stop lamenting over all the mistakes you made and all the pounds gained. The past is the past and you cannot change it, but you do have the power to change the present. Recommit yourself to continuing the journey. Take things one step at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day. Decide what things you can change and set about changing them. Find something that inspires you, and place a picture of it in prominent places where you will see it. It could be any number of things; maybe it's that sexy bathing suit or little black dress you always wanted, maybe it's the chance to run a race you never thought was possible. Whatever it is , use it as daily inspiration. Don't think of your setback as a failure. Think of it as a learning tool , something to help you navigate your journey in the future. This is a lifelong journey and you will go through many twists and turns. These setbacks and the lessons learned will prove to be valuable to you in the future. Learn by all your missteps along the way. There really is no failure in this journey, EXCEPT if you just give up entirely. And GIVING UP IS NOT AN OPTION. You are stronger than you think. Turn every set back into a learning experience. Use them to make yourself stronger. You can use all your experiences along the way and turn everything you view as failures into successes. You ALONE have the power to make that happen. No one else can do this for you. It is up to you and no one else. Start right now and keep the journey going. You won't be sorry you did. Reach for the stars. The world is yours to conquer. You can do this and you will if you only believe in yourself, so grab the bull by the horns and set out to conquer whatever is holding you back.
Words to live by, till next time ,God Bless.
