CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to the 80th edition of Carol’s Corner. I still cannot believe I have authored that many blog posts already. It doesn’t seem possible. Everything would be awesome, if I wasn’t going through this foreign language debacle. I have got to get this resolved and soon. It is beyond frustrating to not know or understand why this is happening. One of the ladies at our dance tonight is one of my followers. This was happening to her too. I asked her some questions. It is only the email she receives from WordPress and only my blog that is affected. She thought it was Chinese. When she saw me ,she was like ,what the heck. She thought I went bonkers. It is beyond me why this is only happening to certain people. She is going to forward me the email. Then I’m going to contact WordPress again to see if I can forward it to them. There has to be an answer to this mystery somewhere, as well as a remedy. I just hope that happens soon. So , my picture. This was my dancing outfit for tonight. This gorgeous blouse was another of my thrift store finds from last week. The colors are divine and the material is beautiful. This makes me feel happy just looking at it. What a find for the unbelievable price of $2.50. Later in this post I am going to put another picture, showing the FitBit Cuff, that slides over the band. This is designed to keep the bracelet from coming apart, and possibly causing the loss of your FITBIT. I got this in nine different colors. Wish they had one in a purple color, but this will just be more fun coming up with cool color combos. Who knew I could have such a good time turning this into a fashion accessory! Well you know my saying, “Where there’s a will there’s a way’. I found the way big time. Actually here’s the pic now.

To use the cuff, you slide it on your band, hook the band together, and then slide it over the clasp. Very ingenious, don’t you think? I know I would be more than distressed if I lost my FitBit off of my wrist accidentally. The only time I remove mine is to charge it or change bands. Instead of being attached at the hip, we’re attached at the wrist. I’ll take pictures of all the ones I got and post them tomorrow. I’m going to have to make this somewhat shorter tonight. We’re down to one car at the moment. That means I have to go with my husband to Sunday School at 10 , instead of just Church at 11. We’ll try to take on # 2, Get your immune system in check. Many experts now view inflammation as a symptom of your immune system being in constant overdrive. I’m going to link you to a section that deals with the immune system and tips to get through the cold and flu season, which you can read at your leisure. http://www.chatelaine.com/health/wellness/six-tips-to-keep-you-healthy-through-cold-and-flu-season/ So back to the immune system. When the body is stuck in this overdrive state, even mild stressors such as viral infections, emotional stress, or exposure to household chemicals, can cause your immune system to violently overreact. Allergies, autoimmune disease , and tissue destruction can result when our immune system Is working too hard to protect us. If you have thyroid antibodies, you can believe for example that your immune system has gone awry. The recommendation here is to take 200 mcg selenium along with plant sterols, to calm an overactive immune system – and in return , reduce inflammation. Again , return to the above link and read all related information on the immune system. We will continue with more in our next session. We are right in the middle of a nasty cold and flu season, so make sure you read what the above link has to offer on the subject. Because this is a bad time of year for many of us, it is important to do everything we can to stay healthy. Eating right, exercising, and drinking plenty of fluids is a great place to start. So now let’s try a little bit of motivational therapy. In this journey there are many times that we need a little extra push, a little more motivation, and some days a lot of inspiration. I hope the days you find yourself needing these things, that in some small way I have been able to provide you with something you needed. So here’s some food for thought.

You can do this. You are strong, you are determined, you are fearless. 2015 is going to be the year you conquer all your demons, show the world what you’re made of, and most of all, you will feel good about yourself and what you were able to accomplish. So get out there and show the world what you’re made of. Till next time, God Bless.

  1. I have a question….am I the only one having a hard time reading the blog? It looks like it is written in a different language.

    1. Great, I’m just finishing up the current one. You will laugh when you read what took me so long, only at the time it wasn’t funny. And somehow I have to get to the bottom of the language issue.

  2. Both my laptop & desktop show the foreign language, although my iPhone does not. Must be something in the settings I surmise that needs to be changed.
