CAROL’S CORNER

Welcome to another night in Carol's Corner. Another pretty nice day in Central New York. We spent most of the day in Syracuse today. My picture is taken in front of Texas Roadhouse where we had dinner. Now you don't diet when you go here for dinner. But I did a lot of working out today, in the morning and when we came home. Naming this outfit,”Royalty.”

This beautiful bracelet that you can see yourself in, houses my exercise tracker. Figured if I was wearing my statement piece necklace that this made a statement too, and no one would ever realize it held my FitBit tracker. I have a really cool black one. I still need to get a gold tone one.

For the second straight day I amazed myself with what I could accomplish with my workouts.

I've gone from thinking it was impossible for me to ever get 25,000 steps to doing almost 31,000 yesterday and then today getting over 27,000. It is amazing what you can accomplish when you first believe in yourself and secondly push yourself in ways you once thought were impossible. I am a living breathing example that no matter your age that you CAN do amazing things. Here's the list of things that some people would say would make what I am doing on a daily basis, next to impossible.

1. My age-64 1/2 I say 64 years young, others might say old.

2. 2 total knee replacements

3. Operations on both feet and still have some issues.

4. Arthritis, probably all over

5. Fibromyalgia ( doesn't bother me too much anymore)

6. A nerve issue in my foot as a side affect from one of my surgeries.

7. Asthma to some extent. It seems to come and go.

8. Type 2 Diabetic

And these are just the big issues.

Instead of these things stopping me I've done just the opposite. I've proven to myself that I can do amazing things inspite of them. In fact exercise is actually beneficial in the long run to all of the things above.

Make this one of your mantras. This can apply to all areas of your journey from the weight loss end to your fitness regimen. You just have to realize that you can achieve more than you ever thought possible. I tell people this journey has to start in your mind, but when it finally reaches your heart, that's when the real miracles happen. Stop telling yourself all the things you can't do. Instead set about proving to yourself all the things you can do! You'll be amazed at what you'll find if you let yourself go to places you never imagined going on this journey.

I guess this might be my mantra since I discovered I could do more than I ever thought I was capable of. Make it yours!

Don't wait around for things to happen, go make them happen. No one can do that for you. You are the director and the star in your own movie. Go make that happy ending! Till next time, God Bless!
