Welcome back to what will probably be my last post of 2014. Can you believe this year is drawing to an end? Where the heck did it go? As I was getting ready today and was deciding on an outfit, I realized I totally forgot about this blouse I bought at Target right before Christmas. I love everything about it and the fit is perfect. I've found that proper fit is everything. I had a tendency, especially when I was heavy, to buy things too big, thinking I was hiding some of the fat, but in reality it only makes you look bigger. Even since becoming the new me, I was sometimes buying a bigger size than I actually needed. That finally changed for me, when a sales clerk from New York and Company, encouraged me to try on a size 8 pant instead of 10, and a small top instead of medium. To my surprise, they fit and looked amazing. So now I start with the smaller size, and then go bigger if need be. That is my shopping tip for you: make sure you are buying clothes that fit properly. Don't buy clothes that are too big. They don't make you look smaller, they might actually make you look bigger than you really are. So are you excited for a new year to begin? Are you ready to shed the old you, and usher in the new you, that is just waiting to come out? If you are, don't wait another minute to begin the transformation! The new year is a time for new beginnings. Reflect for just a moment on what your failures or successes were in 2014. Continue on the path that lead to success, and forge new paths that will bring you even more success. Leave your failures in the past, waving goodbye to them in the rear view mirror. The past is the past. What's done is done. Now is the time to begin your journey anew. The slate is wiped clean. The worst days are behind you and the best is yet to come. Have that be your mantra for 2015. So let's look around and see if we can find some more great tips to help us on our journey. Here's a whole litany of ideas to explore on Pinterest. Take your time to look through these and see what things appeal to you and adopt them into your plan for the new year. Now l what else I can come up with? This is kind of a challenge I make to myself everyday. I want to provide you my reader's , with the best info, the best tools , the best guidance, and the best ways I know how, to inspire and motivate you on a daily basis . That is always my goal , and I hope you can see how hard I try to do just that. Here's another great article to read. It's called,”Get a headstart on eating right: quick nutrition tips for success all year“.I'm just learning how to create links using an app called Blogsy, that I am using to compose and publish my blog to WordPress. There's always a learning curve and there is much more I can research and learn how to do, to make Carol's Corner even better. So don't be afraid to tell me what you like or don't like, or things you'd like to see. This blog is all about you and what you need. I 'll try to find one last place for you to explore before we wrap up this edition of Carol's Corner. This last one is from Shapefit.com and there are some excellent things in this one. I especially like the photographing yourself one, very interesting. So there you have it. Now get locked and loaded. Start the New Year off with a bang. Make 2015 the best year ever. You are worth it, you can do it. Get out there and show the world what you're made of. I appreciate each and every one of you, and pray that 2015 will be the year that you climb to the top of the mountain, look down , and say “I did it, watch out world, I'm here to stay”!!! Remember , there won't be a blog post New Year's Eve. See you in 2015. Till then, God Bless & Happy New Year.
I almost never comment on blogs or Facebook or anything like because I am so unsavvy when it comes to social media. Albeit, with this post I have to to speak up and say ” Thank you so much for your all you do.” You give me daily motivation, inspiration, and knowledge on reaching my weight loss goal. The article attached to this post about making small dietary changes is exactly what I needed to start the New Year off right. I am 43 years old and never had a problem with my weight until I hit 40. For me, my weight gain battle has come mainly from my poor eating habits. Thank you again for being such a positive and encouraging voice to those of us struggling with our weight.
