Hello again out there. Get ready for another night in my chunk of Cyber Space, one that I call Carol’s Corner. Are you ready to rock & roll? Can you believe Christmas is almost upon us, where the heck did this year go? I’m so excited for you to see my picture for today. This is one of the first really awesome dresses I purchased when I had lost a substantial amount of weight. I lost quite a bit more since then, but because of the style it doesn’t really matter. The first time I put on this dress, I can’t even describe what it felt like when I looked back at myself in the mirror. That is when I knew that I could never let myself go again. I don’t feel like an almost 64 year old Sr. citizen in this dress, more like a hot mama, or as I like to say sometimes, hot nana. I want each and everyone of you who read my blog , to experience all the awe, and, joy , and wonder that I do , when I put on something that makes me feel truly remarkable. And all of you can , if you want it bad enough, if you work hard enough, and if you believe in yourself. So let’s get down to business. Tonight we’ll continue on with our exploration on what to do to get out of that slump. We’ll pick with tip no. 5 , entitled, Post Your Goal. This is one that I feel can be extremely beneficial. Print out your goal in BIG WORDS. Make it just a few words , like a mantra. For instance, lose 50 pounds, or exercise 30 minutes a day, whatever will remind you of your goal. Post it at home & at work. Put it on your computer desktop or the screen of your tablet. You need to have big reminders of your goal , so you can keep the focus & excitement going. Find a picture of someone wearing something that embodies how you would most like to look. Like they say, a picture is worth a thousand words. Tip number 6 is another good one, Commit Publicly. No one likes to look bad in front of others. If we’ve said something publicly, we’re gonna go that extra mile, because we don’t want to embarrass ourselves. Do this with friends, family, co workers, or social media; any combination of the above. The second part of this tip, is to not commit just once , but to commit to giving progress reports to everyone involved, every week or so. I don’t think you can have a better source of motivation , than to not embarrass yourself , by not doing what you said you were going to do. This will help keep you on the up & up, so to speak. On we go to tip number 7 ; Think About It Daily. If you think about your goal every day, you are much more likely to make it come true. That’s why posting your goal in places you will see it during the course of a day , can make a big impact on your way to success. Another thing you can do to help yourself , is to send yourself daily reminders. If you can commit to doing one small thing each and every day to reach your goal , you are almost assured of reaching it. That brings us to the last tip of today’s session; Get Support. For those of us who belong to the SIS community, this one should be a piece of cake. If you don’t already belong to our little( well not so little) group, you should think of doing so. On Facebook search for the following: SIS Walk Away The Pounds. Join up and you will have the best support group on the face of the earth, or as I like to say, the planet. Find your support network in the real world, online , or both. They could be crucial to the success of your journey , wherever that may presently be. Well that brings us to the end of Part Two , In How To Break Out Of A Slump . I hope you’re enjoying this series, as much as I am , presenting it to you. Stay tuned for Part Three tomorrow. Till next time , God Bless.
